The year is 2XXX A.D. and there is a belief that by looking towards the past, the present can be corrected. It is through this belief that St. Kleio came to exist; an organization that clones the greatest historical figures in the hopes that they can make a difference in the world today. The clones are taught everything that there is to know about their original, and then raised to exceed their achievements. At a yearly expo, once the clones are ready to graduate, the school's benefactors bid on which clone they want. Then off the clones, ready to live a life full of fulfilling expectations.

Napoleon is the second clone of that name to be introduced in the series, however he is the Napoleon from a previous generation. He attended St. Kleio, and much like his successor, he was friends with the clones of Sigmund Freud, Florence Nightingale, Elizabeth I, Marie Curie and their generation's Shiro, here known as Kai. Things proceeded normally for some time, until a second Kai was introduced to their class. And then Kais 3 through 7...

Napoleon was purchased by a company that sells weapons to be the president. However, he was purchased solely to be a figurehead; he had no power and no authority to control the company. His dissatisfaction with how his life has become grows until he witnesses Marie Curie suffering from the effects of one of her experiments backfiring (she worked for a company that manufactured the weapons that Napoleon's would sell) and seeing her euthanized by one of the Kais (he shot her in the head). Upon seeing this, Napoleon joins forces with Kai, executing other clones or scouting them to join him and Kai. They create a terrorist organization known as the Strikers with the goal in mind to eradicate the clones.

On the date of St. Kleio's expo, they attack the school. Napoleon goes after his successor and confronts him. After fighting for some time, the younger Napoleon manages to win by accidentally shooting the elder in the chest. Napoleon dies calling the younger one a fool for choosing life.

For the most part, the previous Napoleon clone is an almost exact replica of the Napoleon clone that we see for the majority of the series. Which is to be expected, considering the fact that they are the same person. Technically. Cloning is weird, anyway...

Napoleon is proud of any accomplishment that he manages to make. He is confident in his skills and ability, always sure that he'll be victorious in whatever task he sets out to accomplish. Everything comes down to a matter of pride with him. He hates when he is belittled and he won't interfere with his friend's fights because that's a matter that they have to deal with themselves.

That being said, that does not mean that Napoleon will not help his friends when they need his help. When things get out of hand, Napoleon will always be the first one to step in and help, even if he doesn't exactly know how to help. He sticks up for his friends when they're being bullied and comforts them when they are down. Napoleon will step in from serious matters to more trivial ones. Napoleon will help to his fullest capabilities, and he won't stop until his friend's problem is solved in some way, shape or form. Any friend that Napoleon has is important to him and he'll do a lot for them. Even if sometimes he decides that it would be a good idea to feel up said friend's erection when they're trying to hide and observe some art taking place in front of them. But most importantly, he shoulders the blame for whenever things go wrong. If something fails and it is out of his control, he blames himself for not being strong enough to help.

Napoleon is not one to put things to chance. Napoleon does not believe in things that cannot be seen. He prefers to have things happen by his doing.

However, Napoleon's personality takes a change after he graduates. As a result of the lack of power he's given, Napoleon takes up drinking, becoming an alcoholic. He figures that because nobody he cares about is watching him, why should care about the image that he presents. This comes to a head when he meets with Marie Curie once more during a press release organized by their two companies. Later, in private, he confides in her his dissatisfaction with his life and about his lack of knowledge about what their companies do. When she expresses her displeasure in what her line of work has become (manufacturing weapons to attack rather than defend), Napoleon attempts to cheer her up by presenting a positive that can come from it (deterrence) and then asks her if she is unhappy. She asks him if he enjoys being a drunken puppet and he responds that there is nothing he can do about it, that he was bought.

It is when Marie Curie's experiment fails that Napoleon calls Kai on the verge of a breakdown. She's heavily incapacitated and he can't think of anything he can do for her. All he can do is get drunk and call up a friend about what he can do. He and Kai visit her and he is under the impression that they will just take her away, however he is surprised with Kai shoots and kills her. Kai tells him that he liberated her from the pressures of being Marie Curie and one day too, his day will come that he will be liberated from the pressure of being Napoleon Bonaparte, but until it comes, Kai asks Napoleon if he could share his suffering with him.

Napoleon latches onto this idea, taking it as the new method through which he can help his friends. Napoleon has essentially given up on life. He lives so that he can liberate his fellow clones from the pressure of being clones, waiting for the moment that he too can be liberated. But he was liberated too early, before he could save his successor and his entire generation from the pressure. Naturally, he'll be angry about what occurred, but will eventually reach a state in which he accepts, through one mean or another, that it is out of his control.

Abilities ⇒ Napoleon's strengths and abilities are for the most part, generally normal. He has a good amount of knowledge of French and European history, namely starting from the French Revolution to the influences that Napoleon had following his campaigns. In addition to that, he has knowledge of warfare tactics, leadership, and mostly likely, fencing, horseback riding, French, Corsican and marksmanship. (Hey, someone had to have that gun :). . . )

Inventory ⇒ a handgun, a flask, a sword, a bicorne

SAMPLE

Describe yourself in a single sentence.
⇒ I'm Clone Napoleon Bonaparte, that should be enough, right?

What is your relationship with your family like?
⇒ What family?

Who is the most important person to you?
⇒ ... Does that really matter now? They're not around for me to be able to help them or anything.

What's the most important thing you've ever done?
⇒ Heh, that's easy: help free my friends. I just wish I could have finished the job.

What would you say is your greatest flaw?
⇒ That I left the job half done and that I left Kai alone. I don't think he'll be too happy about that at all.

How do you feel about murder?
⇒ Sometimes... sometimes it's necessary. But is it really murder when someone has already given up on life?

Would you ever sacrifice yourself to save someone else?
⇒ Depends. Who are they and why should I sacrifice myself for them? As it stands, there are only two guys I'd have done it for.

Would you call yourself a "doer" or a "thinker"?
⇒ Doer. I can't really get behind the idea of sitting around and thinking about what to do. I want to get out there and do things.

Would you rather learn a new skill or teach someone else one?
⇒ I'd want to learn. There's so much out there that I could learn, and there are probably better teachers out there than me.

Are you an optimist or a pessimist?
⇒ Optimist. I'm looking forward for a better future and giving someone a better life than what I had.

Would you rather be innocent or well-informed?
⇒ Don't hold things back from me. If there's something going on, I want to know about it and not be kept in the dark. I gave up on being innocent a long time ago.

Any final comments?
⇒ Yeah, got any bourbon?
